Postdoctoral Associate in the Chemical Glycobiology Lab

2026/03/23

CIC bioGUNE is looking for highly-motivated postdoctoral researcher to join “GLYCO13CELL”, a project aimed at defining the relationship between glycan structure, presentation, and viral recognition in a physiological environment. The project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC Starting Grant) and will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Luca Unione in the Chemical Glycobiology Lab. We are seeking candidates holding a PhD in Virology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related fields. Candidates with a background in the pathophysiology of viral infections are especially encouraged to apply. Given the nature of the project, experience in molecular biology, cell culture, gene editing, and viral systems will be considered strong assets. The selected candidate will employ diverse scientific methodologies, including gene-editing tools, genomics, glycomics, and pseudotyped viruses to decode viral infection pathways and, ultimately, contribute to the development of tools to prevent, treat, and mitigate infectious diseases. Application procedure: Applications should be submitted via the form available at form and indicating 43151 as reference.
