The solidarity race against breast cancer has dyed Bilbao pink again with the “Marea rosa”

After two appointments canceled due to the pandemic, the seventh edition of the “Pink Tide” was held on Sunday 9th October. Organized annually by Acambi, (the Biscay Breast and Gynecological Cancer Association), its aim is to make this disease visible and raise funds for breast cancer research. On this occasion, over 51,769 thousand euros have been raised.

The Pink Tide departed from the vicinity of the Guggenheim Museum with the horns of the mountain “bocineros” giving the starting signal to 10,000 participants, reaching the Euskalduna Palace, crossing the bridge to head along the riverbank to the Bilbao Town Hall, to then return to the Guggenheim esplanade for some refreshments and a zumba class.

The sunny day and the committed participants created a fantastic atmosphere in the area!.
