Glycobasque II is a joint event organized by CIC bioGUNE and CIC biomaGUNE that gathers the different research groups from Euskadi working in Glycosciences, at the border between Biology and Chemistry.

The event takes place at CIC bioGUNE premises at Derio on March 22nd. A number of researchers with complementary perspectives are presenting their current and future investigations in order to look for synergies and for setting up a framework for developing common projects. In fact, after the initial meeting back in 2017, the aim of this new meeting is fostering the development of a potent Glycoscience network inside the Basque Country, to attract biomedicine-oriented research, while keeping the strong chemical and biological background of the initial research teams.

Besides the presentations of the scientists working at different public and private institutions from Euskadi, two distinguished scientists, Bruno Linclau (Southampton, UK) and Nico Callewaert (Gent, Belgium) are also presenting their latests scientific achievements.
