Bilbao hosts the 31st Conference of the Spanish Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society
From 10 to 13 September, Bilbao hosted the 31st Conference of the Spanish Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society (SEBBM), organised, among others, by CIC bioGUNE. This prestigious meeting gathered together in the Vizcayan capital a large number of national and international experts who, over the course of the four days, analysed the very latest breakthroughs in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology.
Some of the many issues dealt with included structure, molecular stability and function, molecular diagnosis, customised medicine and the latest technological advances in biochemistry / molecular biology and how they can help improve our quality of life.
The scientific programme of this conference, which was held in the Leioa Campus of the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU), was divided into different courses, satellite seminars, plenary sessions, symposiums and group meetings.
The organising committee of this 31st Conference of the Spanish Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society (SEBBM) was chaired by Félix M. Goñi, Profesor of Biochemistry at the UPV-EHU and José M. Mato, Director-General of CIC bioGUNE and CIC biomaGUNE.
