2022 Introductory Week at CIC bioGUNE

5th edition of the CIC bioGUNE Introductory Week

To get new doctoral candidates familiarized with the research environment of CIC bioGUNE and its facilities, as well as to get to know each other, CIC bioGUNE organized the 5th edition of the Introductory week, a crucial component of the CIC bioGUNE Training Program.

As in previous editions, the Introductory Week started with a general CIC bioGUNE presentation by the Scientific Director Jesús Jimenez-Barbero followed by the presentation of the Training Program and the Technology Transfer office by members of the Training Committee.

During the week, the doctoral candidates visited facilities and Technological Platforms and got an overview of the research carried on in the structural biology, chemical biology, bioinformatics, prions, molecular & cell biology and metabolomics laboratories. Following the tradition, the doctoral candidates prepared “visionary research projects” under the premise that they could obtain a substantial 1.5M€ grant to be spent in 4 years to explore the most interesting research idea. As always, the projects presented were original and interesting.

Welcome to all new doctoral candidates!

The Training Committee wish you a fruitful and enriching stay at CIC bioGUNE!
