Exosomes in health and disease Dr. Graça Raposo is interested in the specialization of the endocytic pathway and its cellular compartments (endosomes, lysosomes) in immunitary system cells and skin cells like melanocytes, as a way to understand cellular and molecular mechanisms that allow creation of specialized cellular compartments that are often modified during cellular transformation (cancer) or hereditary genetic disorders (lysosomal diseases).
