On behalf of the Organizing Committee, CIC bioGUNE, CIBERehd, the USC-UCLA Research Center for Alcoholic Liver and Pancreatic Diseases and the USC Cirrhosis Research Center, we are pleased to welcome you to the Third International Symposium on Alcoholic Liver and Pancreatic Diseases (ALPD) and Cirrhosis.
The symposium program includes Special Lectures, Plenary Sessions and 2 Poster Sessions, which provides an outstanding forum for exchanging the newest and cutting-edge research findings on common and distinct molecular mechanisms that underlie alcoholic liver and pancreatic diseases (ALPD) and cirrhosis, the major alcohol-associated life style diseases world-wide. Thirty six high-profile speakers and moderators are invited from around the world to incite most enlightening discussions on the following four thematic topics:
:: Mechanisms on ALPD
::
Cell Death and Cancer
::
Clinical Research
::
Biomarkers in ALPD and Cirrhosis
Our host venue from July 17 to 18, 2008 will be the Hotel Hesperia Zubialde in Bilbao, at only some yards from the Guggenheim Museum. Hotel accommodation will be available for a discounted rate at the listed hotels. (Click here for further information.)
The full Symposium preliminary agenda is available now. Registration will be available on March 1. Registration fees are discounted until June 1, 2008.
We encourage students to participate and submit posters. The resulting discussions from such prestigious speakers will be undoubtedly instructive.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors for their financial support, without which this symposium would not have been possible. We also wish to extend our gratitude to all attendees, many of whom have travelled a great distance to take part in this scientific event.
Thank you again for joining us. We wish all participants of the Symposium a pleasant stay in Bilbao and an enriching experience.
